Amanda King founded Therapies of the Rockies in 2008 to assist families in obtaining quality therapy services without having to go to a hospital setting. Amanda has grown the company to over 25 full time employees and is always working to maintain TOTR’s high standard of excellence. Amanda has 2 kiddos elementary school age and in her spare time, she can be found walking her 2 dogs, exploring the restaurant scene, or skiing at Keystone Mountain.

Leah has spent her career in small business environments wearing many hats. Prior to joining the team at Therapies of the Rockies, Leah has worked in the Entertainment and Technology industries honing her administrative, human resources, office management, and client services fields. She is excited to move into the Billing Manager role at Therapies of the Rockies and be part of a team providing excellent patient care.

Leah looks forward to experiencing all four seasons. She is an animal lover, film enthusiast, and avid reader.

Melanie Wiseman

Melanie is the Clinical Director at Therapies of the Rockies, supporting our clinical staff and working collaboratively with the practice managers. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern University, and currently holds national certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and state licensure in Colorado. Melanie joined the TOTR family in 2013, working hard for the growth of her patients as well as toward the growth and success of the team at Therapies of the Rockies. Melanie strives to incorporate the most up-to-date evidence-based research in her practice, ensuring patients receive dynamic treatment that fits their needs and abilities for expanding their communication. She has focused her continuing education and clinical practice primarily in the areas of Autism and Apraxia of Speech but holds a love for supporting children with all speech and language disorders in children, as well as their families. Melanie’s approach to therapy integrates all areas of child development and supported research approaches while working with the family to build connections from the therapy room to school and home. She makes therapy fun, engaging, and relevant for promoting the most success and carryover in a child’s communication.

Britney has clinical experience in private practice, school settings, and home health, where she has provided individual and group therapy. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Utah State University.
She has extensive knowledge with the 2-5 year old population, as well as school age children. Britney has experience evaluating and treating a range of disorders including expressive and receptive language, articulation, stuttering, social-language, and apraxia. She has also worked with children who communicate with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Britney loves working with children and improving their language abilities through literacy.
When Britney is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband traveling, hiking, and exploring more stunning places that Colorado has to offer.

Kayla Young

Occupational Therapist

Kayla graduated from Colorado State University with a Masters in Occupational Therapy and joined the
Therapies of the Rockies team in 2022. Her passion has always been helping kids increase their quality of
life through meaningful engagement in every day activities and loves working closely with families on
how to achieve their personal goals. Kayla has previous experience working in a transitional program for
young adults navigating life after high school as well as working in the neurology unit of a pediatric
outpatient clinic. Kayla’s goals for treatment are to provide tools for her clients to increase their self-
efficacy and self-esteem by creating opportunities to participate in desired activities and collaborate
with families on how to integrate learned skills into everyday contexts. When she is not working, Kayla
enjoys taking her puppy on hikes, reading, baking cookies, and spending time with her husband.

Bailee Cavos

Bailee is a Colorado native and a Certified Occupational Therapist (COTA), who has always had a passion for working with children, helping them to build knowledge and self esteem, through environmental and self-exploration. She spent 6 years as an Early Education Teacher working with children ages 0-12. She went on to earn her certification as a licensed massage therapist to further her pursuit of serving others, through the life span, in a holistic way. She then received her Associates of Applied Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and graduated from Pueblo Community College in 2021. Bailee works to build strong therapeutic relationships with her clients and their caregivers and to incorporate the patient’s hobbies and interests into their sessions; all to ensure the greatest therapeutic outcome possible. Her hobbies include spending time in nature with her family and dog, gardening, kayaking and participating in the world of arts and crafts.

She used to say that Colorado was the only place she could imagine being landlocked, and is thrilled to settle down in Denver with her fiancé and their cat, Luna.
