Melissa Callaghan

Melissa earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University and her undergraduate Health Sciences degree at Whitworth University. Melissa’s primary experience is in pediatrics working with children with a variety of disabilities and diagnoses across outpatient, schools, and home settings. She loves using play as a modality for her clients to learn new skills, explore, and increase confidence. Melissa is currently working on her certificate in Ayre’s Sensory Integration approach and looking forward to using that knowledge with her clients with sensory processing disorders. When not working, Melissa enjoys baking cakes, kayaking, camping, and playing with her puppy.

Julie Bernsen

Julie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado – Boulder, and graduated from Utah State University with a Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education. Julie has spent her professional career working with children and adolescents in private practices in Salt Lake City, Utah as well as Houston, Texas. She has clinical experience in the areas of articulation, phonology/phonological awareness, receptive and expressive language disorders, early language delays, feeding, apraxia/motor speech disorders, and social pragmatics. She is particularly passionate about evaluating and treating individuals with fluency disorders, as well as working with children with hearing loss who utilize a Listening and Spoken Language approach to communication. Julie loves working in the private practice setting as it allows her to work closely with parents, form a close bond with her clients, and help to achieve meaningful and long-lasting communication success. When Julie is not working, she loves enjoying Colorado’s beautiful outdoors with her husband and daughter.

Andrew is a Colorado native but has lived all over the country in major cities such as Philadelphia, Austin, and Seattle. Andrew earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting/Performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2000. After spending many years as an artist who loved to entertain and make people laugh, he decided to dedicate his life’s work to helping people.
Andrew studied Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences at Metropolitan State University of Denver, earning his SLPA leveling certification in 2018. He has spent the last 3 and half years working with K-12 students. His SLPA experience includes articulation/phonological disorders, expressive/receptive language disorders, social skills, auditory processing and working memory.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys cooking, traveling abroad, exploring museums and golf.

Bailee Cavos

Bailee is a Colorado native and a Certified Occupational Therapist (COTA), who has always had a passion for working with children, helping them to build knowledge and self esteem, through environmental and self-exploration. She spent 6 years as an Early Education Teacher working with children ages 0-12. She went on to earn her certification as a licensed massage therapist to further her pursuit of serving others, through the life span, in a holistic way. She then received her Associates of Applied Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and graduated from Pueblo Community College in 2021. Bailee works to build strong therapeutic relationships with her clients and their caregivers and to incorporate the patient’s hobbies and interests into their sessions; all to ensure the greatest therapeutic outcome possible. Her hobbies include spending time in nature with her family and dog, gardening, kayaking and participating in the world of arts and crafts.
